Our exciting first 3v3 Game Day is coming up on Saturday, October 31st at Chandler Park, located at 1037 Cummings St, Memphis, TN 38106. Starting at 10 AM, this Game Day will be a great opportunity for all the players to apply all the skills learned during practice in a 3v3 game situation. WEEKLY UPDATE WEEK 4 Thank you for being part of the 1st 3v3 Fall Season! We will back on October 19th! Thank you to all the players, families, and coaches that were part of this 1st 3v3 Fall Season that took place during the last 4 weeks! On week 4, our coaches focused on reviewing all the skills learned during the season and how to use them in a game situation. "We played a fun game where the kids had to use their dribbling skills to keep the ball close to their feet. After that, we finished with 2v2. PWYS UPDATE Play Where You Stay launches CDC compliant Middle and High School girls soccer training! We’re excited to announce that we are offering COVID-SAFE soccer training for Middle and High School Girls this Fall! Following Shelby County Schools' decision to indefinitely postpone athletics, Play Where You Stay is expanding core K-5 programming to Middle and High School kids. Play Where You Stay pairs collegiate athletes with kids from across Memphis in an effort to develop the world’s most beautiful game. To ensure the health and safety of all our players, coaches have blended COVID-SAFE on-field trainings (Mask On!) with a virtual curriculum (Mask Off!) for asynchronous learning at home. We will follow all the U.S. Soccer “Play On” Grassroots Recommendations Guide and TSSA Return-to-play Guidelines. Practices will be limited to 8 players for one hour. Published 9/11/20: WEEKLY UPDATE WEEK 1 We had a great first week of the 3v3 Fall Season! It was great to see all the players back on the field! Thank you to all the players and parents that came to the soccer practices at Gaston, Klondike, Treadwell, and Chandler Parks this first week of the 3v3 Fall Season! It was great to welcome back familiar faces and meet the new players for the first time! On Week 1, our coaches worked on basic skills while following all the safety procedures Learning the correct way to kick the ball Using six sides of the foot Head up dribbling Shooting We will keep all the parents updated about the skills our players will learn in the following 4 weeks.
